While the global chip shortage has affected the prices of many different gadgets. When it comes to both the PS5 and Xbox Series X, it’s the availability that’s most affected. Due to the shortage of both consoles, publishers are taking advantage of the situation.

Scalpers use bots to deplete available stock of in-demand consoles to resell for profit.

An article by TechRepublic shared how scammers use bots to buy and sell in-demand consoles for profit. Bots are used to automatically place orders whenever stock is available.

This makes it very difficult for regular users to buy consoles as they have to manually enter their data, check out and place their orders. While the stock of the consoles alone remains quite rare, an article by GameSpot shared how the bundles are improving.

The bundles are getting better with the addition of good third-party titles

While bundles used to include random titles with consoles that weren’t always what gamers wanted, the new ones, according to the article, are starting to include some really good third-party titles. Some of these titles like “Alden Ring” and “Guardians of the Galaxy” are starting to be included in bundles making them more attractive to potential buyers.
