Human Horizons’ GT HiPhi Z, the Chinese automaker’s second electric vehicle, is finally here. HH unveiled its new zero-emission car on Wednesday, July 6.
Human Horizons GT HiPhi Z comes with a world-first vehicle-grade robotic arm! Price, features, and more
As Human Horizons specializes in developing electric and autonomous cars, you can expect the latest features from the new GT HiPhi Z.
Besides the impressive specs, there is one thing that makes HH’s second EV different from Tesla and other electric car models.
The latest GT HiPhi Z features the world’s first vehicle-grade robotic arm. But, don’t get confused with its function. To help you further, here’s how it works.
Human Horizons GT HiPhi Z’s Robot Arms
According to a recent report from Engadget, the latest GT, the HiPhi Z, is integrated with an automotive-grade high-speed robotic arm (the first of its kind).
In the official YouTube video for Human Horizons, the robot arm was not actually shown in its entirety. Because of this, many people are confused about whether the hand is actually used.
“I wonder why it has a robotic arm. Arms, however? Haven’t actually seen it,” said one person in Engadget’s comments section.
Don’t get the wrong idea that robotic arms work by picking up objects or placing an EV in its proper place. This machine is actually located inside the vehicle.
It is integrated into the area where the car’s infotainment system is located.
Based on HH’s YT video, the robotic arm works by moving the screen to the operator or passenger’s view.
Thanks to this, users no longer need to bend their neck to see the infotainment system. Human Horizons said the machine can move back and forth in less than a second, with an accuracy of 0.001mm.
Other Features of GT HiPhi Z
In addition to the advanced robotic arm, Human Horizons‘ official press release confirmed that their second EV has a range of 700 kilometers when fully charged.
HH added that the GT HiPhi Z can reach 100 kmph in less than four seconds. When it comes to battery power, its electric cell is a 120 kWh high-performance battery pack.
When it comes to design, the new electric car has an ultra-futuristic setup both on the outside and inside. If you want more EV features, you can visit this link.
